Each revision may have its own DOI, which can lead to a problem for those hoping to keep track of the status of a given article.

Preprints, guidelines, and reviews (such as those published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews) often undergo several revisions which can be overwritten on the original HTML page.

Therefore – be aware that some counts per field may change over time, as we continually update the RWDB. With over 30,000 entries and growing fast – some time may pass before it is completed. However, once we add something new, we have to go back and update all the past entries to which the new subject or reason may apply.

We are always looking to improve the usability of the RWDB, so we may be adding new subjects or reasons, or even adding a new field.
